What exactly is MicroFIT?

The MicroFIT program is a renewable energy initiative launched by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in 2009, to increase the generation of renewable energy in Ontario. It allows home owners to sell solar energy generated by their homes to the IESO. See our section about the micro-FIT program (under “Residential”) for more details!

Why sell electricity when I could use it?
